XathaX was formed in Austin Texas 2007 by Nathan Espen whose early work was aimed in the general direction of fans of the electronica, noise rock and noise genres. Through the years, Nathan began to feel as if genres of "music" were too defined to embrace his scattered creative muses. Espen began to fuse elements from traditionally non-related sono-musical styles which prompted additional creative and mind melting control live and in the studio. Today, XathaX continues to push the envelope in terms of overall entertainment meltdown. The ultimate goal for the project has and always will be to obfuscate any barriers which isolate certain sonic ingredients from others and turn them on each-other, forcing sonic disorientation and ultimate creation<>destruction of music.
